Inspire Me Fridays: Megan Hess
Good morning everyone! Welcome to Inspire Me Friday! Today, I’ve decided to profile the incredibly CHIC fashion illustrator: Megan Hess. You might not know Megan from looking at her photos, but I guarantee that you have seen her fashion illustrations on book covers, magazines and chic advertisements. Hess had her first big break when she was hired to draw the cover of Candice Bushnell’s new novel…you know…a little book titled “Sex and the City!” These days, Megan works with the most influential fashion houses and luxury brands in the business. Designers such as Chanel, Dior and Prada have flocked to Megan for one-of-a-kind advertisements created in her signature illustration style. Other notable clients include: VOGUE, Yves Saint Laurent and Ladurée. It seems that the world just can’t get enough of her drawings and I would have to agree with everyone! I can’t seem to get enough of Megan right now, whether that means following her on Instagram, Facebook or visiting her Website where I watch her bio video over and over again…I know that sounds strange, but I simply can’t help it! I love seeing her put pen to paper and create lovely feminine images right before my eyes.
I also can’t seem to get enough of her studio space. Among her many talents, Megan is also an incredible interior designer. Just look at the environment that she created below! All of the light pouring in from those windows, the outdoor patio and all the gorgeous art on the walls. Ahhh her studio is so CHIC, I can’t even stand it! How I long for a beautiful studio to inspire me like this one. Megan recently branched out and designed the interior of a New York City Penthouse for Mirvac that was just featured in VOGUE Living. Is there anything that this woman can’t do?
Megan is someone who inspires me to no end. I truly admire her style and raw talent. I hope that when you look at these images today, you are left with oodles of CHIC inspiration that will carry you through your workday and right into your weekend!
