Chic Parisian Hotel: Baume

Good morning… I have tasty treat for you today in the form of this lovely Parisian hotel! This is Baume, a boutique hotel located in the St Germain district on the left bank of the Seine River. Baume is a 4 star luxury hotel with beautiful rooms and suites that will excite and impress even the most seasoned Parisian travellers. This art deco inspired gem was designed by a company called Exclusive Interiors by Thibaut Fron and Thierry Martin. Inspiration for the furnishings and overall look came from snippets of fashion, jewellery, cinema and architecture from the 1930’s. Their website gushes that Baume is “Decorated with textured silk – a fabric cherished by 1930s fashion – and original sketches of clothing designs, these rooms combine an elegant selection of greys with gold and pink. Reminiscent of one of Paris’ haute couture fashion houses, the seating is upholstered, the lamps are inspired by ornate flapper headbands and mirrors with imitation feathers hark back to designs by Schiaparelli.” The St Germain district offers beautiful shops, restaurants and attractions. One of the best known places to see and be seen in St Germain is the famous Café de Flore, where you will often find the Parisian elite.
