Post Card from Venice

Ciao bella! Today I’m writing to you from beautiful Venice, Italy. The photo above was taken on the shore line of The Grand Canal two days ago. Our small, but respectable Air B&B flat is located down a quaint little alleyway just behind the camera. Having spent a few days here in sunny Venice, I think I can safely say that we have experienced the magic that this city bestows upon it’s visitors. The excitement started with a water taxi from Marco Polo Airport to the stunning Canal that you see above. Imagine…a sleek wooden boat carrying you across the open water…large blue waves crashing against the sides as you sail through the ocean at top speed…the salty, crisp air blowing lovingly through your hair. And then you see it…a colorful floating island out in the distance! As you approach the city, you are overwhelmed with a parade of enchanting buildings with Juliet balconies, soaring white columns and picturesque bridges. It’s hard for you to believe it, but it is even more beautiful and impressive than you ever imagined! For the next few days you are romanced by cobblestone streets, delicious gelato and a night of classical music and cappuccinos under the stars at St. Mark’s Square. Venice has stolen my heart…and my shoes (more on that later lol) and I am so excited to share the photos and the presets with you when I get back. Next stop…Rome! Wish me luck and lots of pasta!
