Notting Hill, London
These shots were taken in a chic little neighborhood in London. We took an Uber Car from our hotel in Westminster and arrived at this pastel wonderland, otherwise known as Notting Hill! I was excited to finally see those famous colorful homes that I’d seen online. When we arrived, the sun was shining and it looked like it would be a jolly ol’ afternoon lol. I was slightly optimistic about the weather (it is London after all) as five minutes into shooting, the sky opened up and it started to rain. Thank goodness one of us brought an umbrella! All three of us ended up huddled together beneath it. We took these shots in between downpours. It was quite the memorable experience! After the rain stopped we decided to explore the shops along Portobello Road. We browsed fashionable boutiques and vintage clothing shops. The area is incredibly charming…if we ever move to London, Notting Hill is where I would want to be! We ended up stopping at a café on the corner of Kensington Park Rd and Elgin Crescent for a much-needed coffee break. We enjoyed our frothy drinks on the outdoor patio and talked about life for a while. I spotted a little vintage car across the street and snapped a few shots before we left. Thinking back on this trip, I realize just how special it was to me. My father’s family is from a little town North of London called Morpeth, and I couldn’t help but feel connected to the British while I was there. Our London trip was filled with so many lovely memories and I feel extremely lucky that I was able to visit this fascinating city! Until my next travel post…sweet dreams until sun beams find you!
