Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to paradise! I know that the title photo says “Chocolaterie,” but you will quickly discover below that visiting the famous Gérard Mulot bakery in the St. Germain district of Paris is nothing short of a bewildering patisserie experience! They sell pastries, cakes, chocolates and don’t even get me started on their bread selection! The line up for their bread products alone can set you back a good 10 minutes on a busy weekend! I came across this lovely little gem as I was walking in the streets early one morning. The crisp white exterior coupled with that ever so feminine pink striped awning caught my attention the second I turned the corner and laid eyes on it. I’m always on the hunt for a great photography location and I got lucky with this one. We came back the following morning just as it opened so that we could have the location and the treats all to ourselves, well, at least for the first 15 minutes anyway. We worked fast to nab all of the shots that I had envisioned for the shoot and after that, we enjoyed the fruits of our labor, aka those delicious macarons that are featured in the photos. For the edit, I used the “Ever After” Lightroom Preset from The Wedding Collection! This preset is definitely one of my all-time favorites. It works just like magic sharpening, balancing shadows and highlights and giving your photos a soft luminous look! It’s my #1 go to preset, but shhh, don’t tell the others! haha Looking for more presets? The Complete Collection has you covered with over 480 beautifully designed Lightroom Presets & Brushes! Don’t forget to check out the before & after photo below to take a peek at what the shots looked like before I edited them! Now, let’s spend a little time in Paris together, shall we?
