We arrived in Capri after a relaxing couple of days in Positano, Italy. Capri was our final destination on the Amalfi Coast and we were determined to make the most of the 24 hours that we had to spend there. There’s only one way on or off the island and that’s by ferry. We took an early morning ferry from the main dock in Positano. I spent most of the ferry ride at the front of the boat while sea water sprayed me in the face and the wind blew wildly through my hair. I looked like I had just survived a hurricane by the time we arrived, but there was no way that I was going to miss seeing the island with my own two eyes as we pulled up. The view coming into port was more worth it! Capri is everything I thought it would be and more! Rocky cliffs, turquoise water, and Mediterranian architecture as far as the eye can see. The little port town is filled with restaurants and little touristy shops selling various nick nack, souvenirs and beach accessories. We checked into our hotel and did a bit of exploring. We spotted a sign down by the docks that read “Private Boat Rentals! 40$ Euros/hour” and we decided to go for it! The island looked so beautiful from the Ferry that we just had to get another look at it at from the water. We ended up circling the island in two hours and managed to snap a few shots in between gawking and taking video on our cell phones. I’d love to tell you that we rented a big beautiful boat, but the truth is that it was only a small little thing. After the boat ride, we spent the rest of the day with our feet in the ocean and snapping photos in town. Later that evening we enjoyed some of the best pasta that we’ve ever tasted and enjoyed the city lights from our hotel balcony. Capri is definitely a must see if you’re traveling through Italy. Now let’s talk about the edit, shall we? I ended up using a beautiful preset from The Details Collection called California Dream. I also used a number of my Lightroom Brushes to sharpen, darken, adjust the temperature and smooth out any areas of the photos that need some extra attention. Don’t forget to check out the before & after photo below to take a peek at what the shots looked like before I edited them! Looking for more presets? The Complete Collection has you covered with over 480 Lightroom Presets & Brushes! Now, let’s spend a little time together in sunny Capri, shall we?
